We believe that every child should have a safe home.

At Cypress View Children’s Home our mission is to serve abused, neglected, and vulnerable children by providing safe, loving, Christ-centered homes that endeavor to meet each child’s individual needs.

Our Story

After a season of being foster parents and adopting two of our children from foster care in Harnett county, my husband and I had witnessed the overwhelming need for homes for abused, neglected, and vulnerable children, especially in Eastern NC. God planted in our hearts the idea for a community of family homes dedicated to serving vulnerable children and we always wondered if it might be our retirement project. Fast forward a few years to an impromptu dinner with friends where we discovered that the Lord had also planted the seed in their hearts for the same work! We spent the evening dreaming together and the vision for Cypress View Children’s Home began to develop (long before retirement!) All the while, God had been preparing a beautifully and uniquely gifted team of people to serve and lead this work well (read more about them here.) In less than a year Cypress View has incorporated as a nonprofit in North Carolina, been approved by the IRS as a 501c3, entered into a partnership with Big Oak Ranch, developed a site plan for our 21 acres in Dunn, and we are now fundraising to begin building our first two homes. I am humbled to be part of the story God is writing at Cypress View Children’s Home and will continue to faithfully work hard, seeking excellence in everything, for the glory of God and the good of the children Cypress View will serve, because they are worth it.
